Embedded Recovery Methods for Viscoelastic Flow past a Sphere in a Cylindrical Tube

The motivation for this study is to capture the superior accuracy properties of recovery methods and their application to the numerical solution of nonlinear viscoelastic ows. For velocity gradient recovery, local direct methods are compared to Galerkin least squares methods. Superconvergence properties are intrinsic. We compare and contrast averaging and patch recovery approaches. We investigate the properties of such schemes and their in uence upon stability by focusing on ow past a sphere in a cylindrical tube.
